Logo Usage Standards:

The Canaan Logo is the key component to the visual identity. The Logo has three elements. As a whole, they create the “Canaan Standard”. The Logotype is a simple, elegant typeface that is classically roman in proportion and character, but without serifs. The Triangle is a symbol of aspiration and rising up; it is also the alchemechal symbol of fire. The broad base of the triangle represents a solid foundation and groundedness to the aspirations. The Blue Field creates the flag which represents the Canaan Partners standard.

Notes:

  • Please do not attempt to center the Logotype and Triangle on the Blue Flag as they are intentionally positioned to the right to indicate “forward thinking.”
  • Clear space, the area surrounding the signature, that must be kept free of other graphic elements. The minimum required clear space is 0.5units around the logo.
  • The Canaan Logo should never appear smaller .5 inches height by 4.8mm wide to ensure that all elements of the signature are clearly legible in all forms of reproduction. Though this is the acceptable minimum size and should accommodate most reproduction techniques, make sure that the signature is never smaller than what can be clearly executed.
