Enpirion is tackling energy efficiency in electronics by designing chips semiconductor-based modules that allow computers, cell phones and other devices to consume far less power. The Enpirion makes the industry’s smallest Power System on Silicon (PSoS), delivering breakthrough power while reducing foot print, part count, and noise associated with switch-mode power conversion. Applications include high-volume consumer products such as mobile phones, portable game players, MP3 and personal media players, as well as data networking, telecom user terminal equipment such as set top boxes, and of course notebook and desktop PCs.

EnStorage is focused on bringing to market financially viable energy storage systems - as an enabling technology to multiple energy applications. The company develops low-cost Regenerative Fuel-Cell (RFC) energy-storage-system (ESS) for power grid load leveling, Solar and Wind power generation plants. The company’s ESS is based on the company’s proprietary technology, which is smaller, more efficient and lower-cost than state-of-the-art energy storage systems in the market.
One of the best ways to make energy use more efficient is to lower waste. On average, some two-thirds of all energy consumed goes into producing waste heat. Zolo Technologies, is working to reduce energy waste by optimizing the combustion process in power plants and jet engines. Zolo uses a proprietary, laser-based means of optical spectroscopy to measure combustion at its source, identifying ways to reduce energy waste and thus decrease carbon emissions. Better measurements mean better process control which yields better results.
