Bryan Chao

Bryan Chao joined Canaan’s Menlo Park office in September 2008 and is an Analyst on the Technology team. He focuses on supporting Canaan’s investments in enterprise software & services and digital media & communications.

Before joining Canaan, Bryan served as Senior Analyst at Revolution Partners, a boutique investment bank focused on raising private capital and executing M&A transactions for growth technology companies in the digital media, IT services, and enterprise software & infrastructure sectors. At Revolution, Bryan advised several technology transactions including the sale of Plaxo to Comcast, Stratify’s acquisition by Iron Mountain, and Webify’s acquisition by IBM. Previously, Bryan worked on internal enterprise applications as a Product Manager in Google’s technical operations group, and as an Analyst at Sagent Advisors, a boutique M&A investment bank in New York.

Bryan earned a B.S. in Finance and Management and a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering from the Management and Technology Program at the University of Pennsylvania.
