Hrach Simonian

Hrach Simonian joined Canaan’s Menlo Park office in January 2007 as an Investment Analyst on the IT team. He focuses on the firm’s digital media & communications and enterprise software & services investment efforts. 

Prior to joining Canaan, Hrach served as the digital media Research Associate at Rutberg & Company. The research groups coverage spanned product and technology categories, including semiconductors, devices, infrastructure, and services. Previously, Hrach held several positions at Northrop Grumman in the solid state laser research & development department conducting experiments in high power laser research and beam manipulation.

Hrach earned an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where his research focused on neuronal networks, linear systems analysis, and solid-state lasers. He also earned and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from UCLA specializing in biomedical engineering.
