Mark Mangiola

Mark Mangiola is a Venture Partner at Canaan Partners.  Over the last 30 years, he has been an operating professional, coach, and investor in the digital media, next-gen content, and communications industries.

Mark started his first cable company at age 24 which he scaled from a team of 10 to a team of thousands, with a strong philosophy of building a culture focused on a rich customer and employee experience.  His subsequent roles included CEO of @Home Solutions, a division of Excite@Home, President and CEO of Positive Communications, and Executive Vice President at KBLCOM/Time Warner.

Most recently Mark has been a Senior Advisor to YouTube creating an invaluable nexus for Canaan’s portfolio companies and YouTube partner companies.  He currently serves as Canaan’s board observer for Echopass, the leading SaaS provider of cloud-based contact center solutions; Blip, a premium network for independent TV producers to optimize their content; and Artspace, a new marketplace changing the way the world experiences art.

Whether on or off the field, Mark’s real passion for the past decade has been working with entrepreneurs and athletes resolute about getting to their edge in performing whether on the track or in the board room.

When Mark’s not busy being a team member, he drums in the rock band, “Resistance is Futile”, with another Canaan Partner (Deepak Kamra on bass), making snarky comments about everything… including Deepak’s inability to sing in harmony.
