Antonio “AJ” Lepore brings deep expertise in biotech strategy, business development, and operations to Canaan’s Healthcare Investment Team. Prior to joining Canaan, Antonio was with Red Tree Venture Capital, where he focused on early-stage life sciences investing and company incubation. He also held leadership roles across the life sciences ecosystem, including at Fusion Pharmaceuticals (acquired by AstraZeneca), Resonance Medicine, and Navigant Consulting (now Guidehouse), and served as an independent advisor to emerging biotech startups. Antonio earned his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Notre Dame and holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from Berry College.
